The blue-grey turkey, “Blue Slate” on most hatchery lists. THE COLOUR DOESN'T BREED TRUE — slate × slate throws black, slate and near-white splash poults in the same hatch (the blue gene works exactly as it does in Andalusian chickens), which breeders treat as the charm rather than the flaw. All three shades are variety rank on one clock.
