The old American farm turkey, colonial stock crossed back to the wild bird — the iridescent copper-bronze every schoolbook turkey is drawn from. NOT the Broad Breasted Bronze: this one mates naturally, flies, and takes ~28 weeks to a 25 lb tom. If a hatchery listing doesn't say which bronze it means, ask — the difference is whether you can breed from it.
