Quail ยท breed reference
The university-bred white MEAT Coturnix โ selected at Texas A&M for a 12โ14 oz bird with a clean white-skinned carcass. Butcher at eight weeks, before the first egg. Like all whites it can't be feather-sexed; unlike the English White it was never meant for the egg rack, though it lays respectably anyway.
