The blonde Coturnix — gold-and-straw feathering on the ordinary clock. THE NAME TANGLE, pinned here once: “Italian,” “Golden Speckled” and “Manchurian Gold” are hatchery names for near-identical golden lines — buy by the bird, not the label. Feather-sexing works on some golds (males keep the plain rusty face) but isn't as reliable as on the Pharaoh.
