The classic oversized bobwhite — half again the wild bird, bred in Georgia for meat and put-and-take hunting, and the commonest bobwhite on a US game-farm price list. Slower and seasonal against a Coturnix (first eggs the SPRING after hatch, 23 days in the shell) but it's the native flavour, and dog trainers want the real flush.
