The AUTO-SEXING squab pigeon — cocks hatch pale and hens dark, readable from the down at a glance, in a species where even experts misread adults (the faded factor, fixed into a breed in 1950s Texas). That solves the squab farm's oldest problem: pairing up young stock without waiting months for a strut or an egg. A King-class producer in its own right, and the reason it's the second name in American squab after the King itself.
