Taiwan's own pheasant, and a real aviculture success story: blue-black with a white crest, nape patch and central tail feathers, found nowhere else on earth, and CAPTIVE-BRED BIRDS HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO TAIWANESE FORESTS to reinforce the wild population — the Edwards's programme's happier ending. Same *Lophura* temperament as the Silver, so the same board-in-the-pen advice, and it wants shade: Taiwanese mountain forest, not a Gulf summer.
