๐ชถ Sebastopol
Geese ยท breed reference
The curly goose โ the long feathers of the back and wings are spiralled and unwebbed, which is the whole appeal and is ALSO A HUSBANDRY PROBLEM: an unwebbed feather doesn't shed water, so a Sebastopol gets soaked to the skin in weather an Embden shrugs off. It needs dry shelter and bathing water it can climb out of easily, and it cannot fly at all. The gentlest bird in this catalog. Named for the Crimean port it shipped from, not where it was bred.
