Ducks ยท breed reference
Leslie Bonnet found two pale sports in a pen of Khaki Campbells in 1949 and bred a whole breed out of them, naming it after moving to Criccieth in 1950. It lays like its Campbell parent (240 to 330), dresses out better, goes broody when a Campbell never will, and is far calmer. AUTO-SEXING at a day old by bill colour โ dark bill a drake, pale with a dark tip a duck โ but only in well-bred lines, at 75 to 90 percent; the trait washes out fast if nobody selects for it.
