NOT FROM THE EAST INDIES — the origin is almost certainly American or English and the name was Victorian marketing. A bantam Cayuga in effect: the same beetle-green black and the same DARK EGGS early in the season, fading to white by midsummer. Flies well and prefers to be left alone.
