The pom-pom on the head grows out of a GAP IN THE SKULL, and the gene that makes it is LETHAL WHEN DOUBLED. BREEDING CAUTION: crest x crest loses about a quarter of the clutch in the shell and can leave survivors with neurological problems โ always breed crested to plain-headed, which halves the crested hatch and costs nothing else.
