Ducks ยท breed reference
Beetle-green iridescent black, from the Finger Lakes of New York. THE EGGS ARE BLACK for the first few of the season, then fade through charcoal to grey, green and finally white by summer's end โ the pigment layer runs out, exactly as a Marans' chocolate fades. The one drawback is the black pin feathers, which is why the market dropped it and the homestead kept it.
